The Mermaids of the Blue Cove

he mountain replies:
" Two cannot talk at once.
But two can sing at the same time."

The singing voices of the mermaids are like a prayer,
and reverberate all throughout the island.

The singing voices also reach the waters of the sea cove,
then the cove begins to shine brightly in blue.
The mermaids, and also I, have regained our forgotten songs.
Smiles returned to all of our faces.

As I looked around, I became aware of a single,
indigo blue-colored ray of light shining through from
the bottom of the clear blue cove.
"I wonder what that is."
I felt a powerful vibration from the indigo blue light.

I went closer to the light.
